The Environmental Bureau announces the “Waste Blueprint for Hong Kong 2035”
The Environment Bureau and the Environmental Protection Department conducted three online engagement sessions on waste management strategies for Hong Kong in September and October last year, in which your organisation are invited to share your views with us. We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your constant concern as well as the valuable opinions over Hong Kong’s waste management issues. Drawing reference from the various views received, the Environment Bureau announced on 8 February the “Waste Blueprint for Hong Kong 2035”. Setting out the vision of “Waste Reduction‧Resources Circulation‧Zero Landfill”, the blueprint outlines the strategies, goals and measures to tackle the challenge of waste management up to 2035.
